| | Inflated My Pillow Pet Prices - JUST SAY NO! |
Hey sellers on Ebay and Amazon - are you KIDDING ME?? I mean seriously, pull my other leg - it plays Jingle Bells!!
Wow, talk about a useful tool gone to the DOGS! For those of you who are considering purchasing an over priced My Pillow Pet on one of these sites, I ask you to use extreme caution.
Have you ever heard, "If it looks and sounds too good to be true, it probably is"? IT IS!! I just spent 2 minutes browsing through Ebay to see what I would see, and guess what?? There were 3 so called Genuine My Pillow Pets, on the first page, that were not the real deal - and I could tell that just by looking at them.
And to add to my head scratching, here is another kicker - I just spent 2 minutes on Amazon and was dumbfounded to see the amount of Pets that have clearly been bought by some deal snooper at a big box retailer of some kind, only to turn around and try to charge more for it online. I HATE PRICE GOUGING, especially when you are not going to get what you think you are paying for!!
Please do not get hoodwinked into buying something that would be just as cute in an Easter Basket as it would under the Christmas Tree.

Excuse me while I hop up on my Soap Box.......Okay, so this is gonna sound RICH - but I am serious: DO NOT PAY OUTRAGEOUS PRICES FOR MY PILLOW PETS!
I have been selling My Pillow Pets since 2008 for the sole reason of how happy they made my children as well as other children who visited us.
I have always maintained that these are a fabulous item as each person finds a use for them that suits that individuals' needs. My kids play with them and have them on their beds, however they do not use them as pillows. Several of my friends have them at their homes and their children won't sleep on anything BUT a My Pillow Pet.
A clever commercial has taken these critters to an exposure level that has become comical...you would not believe how many kids, teens, and adults feel the urge to sing the jingle as soon as they see my booth at shows. And by the way, if you see me and get the urge to sing, please stiffle, we can all be done with THAT!!
All of that being said, these are a childs' toy. They are NOT a limited release, there will be more. I understand that they are hard to get right now, but there are more being made. There is nothing I can think of that would justify someone charging 10 times what one Pillow Pet would retail at.
Please, I have set up waiting lists and will be happy to add you to them if there is an item that your child/children "has waited their WHOLE LIFE" for :)
Send me an email with the subject line stating which pet followed by wait list ie; Moose Wait List, and I will contact you as soon as I recieve them.

I do not use EBAY nor do I sell on EBAY. I do not even understand how Ebay works. I also do not accept Paypal.

Wow, talk about a whirlwind of a month! These past few weeks have seen me in Wisconsin, Nevada, and California - whew! I am now settling in to a November schedule here in the Twin Cities which will keep me somewhat close to home for the first 3 weeks of the month, then I am off to the Chicago area for back to back weekend shows in St. Charles then Arlington Heights! December 6 will see me home for THE REST OF THE YEAR!!! Yep, that is a whole 3 weeks in a row that I am not doing anything other than filling Internet orders.

More inventory is on it's way to me, no worries here about Christmas (chuckle, chuckle, chuckle!).
As to the lack of Small sizes...my supplier decided to focus factory time on the Large styles in order to try and keep up with the demand for the more popular items which are featured on the commercial.
Of course this demand also affected the production of some of the lesser known styles such as the Horse, Leopard, and Black Zebra.
Please stay tuned for updates on the status of invetory, and as always, I appreciate your business.

| | Thank You Grand Rapids, Michigan!! | Wow, Amy & I had a SUPER time in Grand Rapids - Thanks to everyone who came out to see us! We also were able to get out on the town a little bit and got to enjoy some local music by none other than G.Love!
If you are ever out and about in Grand Rapids, we would highly suggest the amazing San Chez for Tapas & Sangria...good thing we found out about that place the LAST night we were there!
As to the accommodations, whew, thank goodness for Amy's weight restrictions for lifting or she would have found a way to get her bed in the back of my trailer - YIKES! (So that would be a 4 thumbs up to the Holiday Inn, Downtown with a special shout out to Josh & Mar - thanks for helping us out so much.)
Gotta love two friends who find 13 hours worth of things to talk about - BOTH WAYS! If we decide to make any more road trips, I am pretty sure we could solve World Peace.

| | Beyond CUTE!! | Okay, I am the first to admit that the Unicorn is not my favorite Pet in the collection. And yes, after the slurry of activity "Uni" caused during the Holidays (in which there wasn't a Unicorn to be found), I bordered on despising the little creature.
Well, hold onto your socks - because the Small Unicorn is WAY TOO CUTE and now there are 3 of them bouncing around my living room 24/7!!!
My, my, my, but these things have a way of invading a gal's home!
I am going to go get my girls up from their nap and will try and snap a photo of them with the newest additions to our household - stay tuned!

| | Merry Christmas | Hello All,
Christmas Day found My Family and I outside playing in the newly fallen snow. This was the Twins' first time playing outside in snow and Big Sister showed them JUST how to do it up right. Daddy ran the Snow Blower while I shoveled what felt like a ton of snow off of the sidewalk in preparation of our Christmas Guests. Chris & I both enjoyed watching the Girls discover the wonder of Winter and gladly accepted Claire's invitation to a snowball fight! Needless to say, we were all 5 SOAKED to the bone and giddy with delight. We suddenly realized we were out of time as our Company was due to arrive within 15 minutes and rushed inside to get dry and warmed up.
I hope you all had a day filled with laughter and special moments that will stay with you for a lifetime, and wish you a Happy & Healthy New Year.

| | In the St. Nick of TIME!! | I have just been notified that an order I placed weeks ago was finally able to be shipped. Of course it had to come via Chicago???, and so I sit here in an almost empty store, smiling my fool face off and wait.
The Good Folks at Roadway Transportation have offered to call me when the pallet arrives at their local Hub. I will then harness the team, hook up the Sleigh and fly down to pick up the inventory. Stay tuned....

| | Final Count Down.... | Me again, here we are in the final push for Christmas and I have now shipped out all that I am going to be able to via Priority Mail for the 3 Coasts - East, West & Gulf.
USPS has told me that Priority Mail, after 12/18, is "at your own risk" for Christmas Delivery...now I am a risk taker, sure - but not at others' expense. Timing now will be determined on where you are in relation to Minnesota, which is where I am.

| | Lessons In Humility & Typos | Yesterday I woke to an email that was so inflammatory, it set my blood boiling - NOT a great way to start my day.
While typing a Confirmation Email that I send out after an order is placed, I missed typed the total being charged to a card. Instead of $32.10, I typed the total from the previous order and it was over $50.00. Rather than checking the credit card, or calling me, they just ripped into me.
Needless to say, I called and left a voicemail, and sadly, ripped right back - NOT the appropriate response. Of course that led to an online pissing match, which neither of us had time for.
I am not out to ROOK anyone, but neither am I out to self destruct. I apologize to M.P. in Ohio, and wish you and your Family a Happy Holidays.
Last night, as I was shutting down my phone, (and still stinging over the pissing match from earlier in the day) I received 2 messages...
1) Nancy in Idaho called to say that she finally received the box of 6 Pets that I sent the day before Thanksgiving!!! (we had the USPS looking high & low for it)
2) "Dudette" in NY emailed to say that she was WAY excited to give the Pets to her kids and that she enjoyed doing business with me and will spread the word about Angel Works. (Thank you "Dudette")
All & all, this was a day of Lessons in Humility, and boy howdy, TYPOS!

| | Exercise in Futility! | Okay, you have probably heard more than one analogy along the lines of what your eyes feel like when your tired, usually something about "2 holes in the snow/sand"? Well, I am here to tell you I am a BELIEVER of any of those sayings - crude or not!
So I asked my Husband to put eyedrops in my eyes, something I will NEVER be able to do myself...and he now calls this our "Exercise In Futility" as I blink so fast, it takes almost half of a bottle to get one drop in!
After 19 years together, we STILL find ways to laugh ourselves silly!
I am spending as much of the day with my Family as I can today, and will be checking on email/voicemail and making a run to the store to pack up orders for USPS tomorrow morning.

I would STORNGLY encourage anyone to avoid Ebay, Amazon and others as you can not tell if it is a real My PIllow Pet until it is too late.
Please, please, please...do not feed into the frenzy that may drive these icky feeling Fakes into popularity. I have one and know what the difference is. If my children were to get the knock-offs as gifts, we would not be keeping them.

| | Who's afraid of the Big Bad Snow? | NOT Minnesota! We LIVE for snow, we drive our cars on the LAKE, we laugh in the face of snowstorms, grab our snowmobiles and hit the trails.
Expcept me, who will be riding that darned stool again tomorrow, and all for the greater good:
A little girl who apparently has had several surgeries and is in need of more, will be taking a Pillow Pet along to her next visit to the OR.
Another little girl who accidentally got a FAKE PILLOW PET, will be getting a real one for Christmas - and it is a doozy!
This is why I do this, I love to hear these stories and will never get tired of it. One that made me laugh until I cried last night was about a UPS Delivery Driver who likes to hold packages hostage and drive around with them, undelivered, in his truck for a few days...Mr, you better hope I don't send a Pillow Pet to someone on your delivery route!
I got to meet a very beautiful 1 month old today. Miss Laura is the shining star of the wonderful man who built this website for me and the great lady who sold our first house for us - Congrats M & P, she is so lucky to have you as parents!
I am off to make a few snow angels (picture me, flat on my back, lying amongst all of the bags of Pillow Pets I am loading up for the Post office tomorrow......)

| | Family Time | I enjoyed some great family time with my Husband and 3 girls today as we participated in a 4 generation photo shoot. Ever try to get 12 people - two over 85 and four 4 and under - go ahead and try, I dare ya!

| | Getting by with a lot of help from my Friends | Words simply can not describe what the last 72 hours have been like. The complete sell out of the 2 main websites for Pillow Pets took the "Warm Glowing Fire" of business at Angel Works to a “STARK RAVING MAD WILD FIRE”!
We are pleased to have gotten the inferno under control and are now enjoying being able to turn orders around in a matter of a few hours. Quite a change from my gaping at the computer like a fish out of water and wondering how in the hell I was going to help 300 people in a timely fashion, let alone answer their emails!!
I did not do this alone. Lucky for me I have some amazing people in my life who jumped in and helped me get a system into place that streamlined inquires and orders. All of my love and appreciation to Chris, my husband of 15 years; Maureen, my very good friend who gave up 2 date nights to stay up and wrestle Pillow Pets into poly mailers; and of course Amy, who I have known since 6th grade and without whom, I would have never been to open the Mall store.
I am on my way to bed now (the first time I will get more than 3 hours of sleep in 3 days) and will be spending the first part of Sunday with my family.
Then I will be back at it. So I say BRING IT ON - We are here: Ready, Willing and ABLE to make your Pillow Pet dreams come true just PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not ask me for that blasted Unicorn!!

| | YEEE-HAWWW! | Dude, Guess who is STONED from the Marking Pen I was using all day on the shipping envelopes & trying to keep up with the 70 orders I have taken in the last 36 hours? yep -me!!! I also think the glue on the mailing envelopes was begining to make my nose run....watch, I bet I am going to need treatment for chemical dependancy when this Holiday Season is over!!!!!!
I am sitting here waiting for my heart rate to return to normal (the glue again) before I lay down for a nap. Then I am up and at it, want to be at the Post Office when they open the doors. I am gonna owe Darleen and her Crew a HUGE plate of Christmas Cookies before too long. Crap, one more thing to add to my list!
Speaking of Lists - I officially contacted the first set of 12 people on the Unicorn Waiting List, YIPPPEEE! Then promptly received another 13 requests to be added to the List.....Oh well, just wanted to let everyone know that I did receive and ship out 12 Unicorns today.

| | Thankful | Hi there, it has been a while since my last post and I wanted to get an update out before BLACK FRIDAY!
Angel Works will be opening at 5:00am the day after Thanksgiving, along with the rest of Rosedale Mall. Of course the only problem with this is that it puts a HUGE crimp in MY Black Friday shopping – humph. Oh well, I am excited to be a part of such a wild day!
No, Angel Works will not be having any specials outside of our regular prices as I feel it is unfair to bounce my prices around. I will always stand by my policy of not “wheeling, dealing or bargaining out” my products – I have no desire to be “Snarky” like that.
Buyers Beware! Speaking of being Snarky, word on the street is that other Pillow Pet vendors have started raising their prices to cache in on the current demand, make sure to establish price before you get to the check out.
Before I sign off, I want to thank all of you who have sent notes regarding your Pets. I appreciate hearing from you after the sale and LOVE hearing about how the recipient is enjoying their Pet – thanks for keeping me in the loop.

| | Whoa! | Well isn't this a wild ride?? The inventory is starting to dwindle and we are not showing any signs of slowing down soon! For those of you who are "Waiting until closer to Christmas", you are going to be shoving these suckers in EASTER BASKETS if you don't get your orders in soon!
The internet is an amazing entity unto itself. Seriously, it is unreal to be a Stay At Home Mom of 3, wake up one morning and find your website on the 1st page of bing.com....how does that happen?
Needless to say, I am thankful for the business, my family and my VERY good friend Amy for helping me through this. I am also very thankful to all of the customers who are waiting for return calls, being caught up in the "Voice Mail Game" (vicious little circle that is!)
I am off to the Garage to start packing up the 45 orders that came in....TODAY!

Located just inside the Mall Entrance next to Green Mill on the North side of the mall. We are the 5th store on the left - just look for the Angel Works sign.

We are also now presenting a great new line of nightlights. Either Pre-designed images or an Art Kit that kids can color themselves - it is worth taking a peek.
And yes, my friends, Angel Works has the UNICORN. That magical little horsey that no other vendor in the nation has at this time!

| | And I am back.............. | Holy Cow! hardley begins to explain how crazy the life of the Pillow Pet Lady has been this summer. All told, we ended up doing Anoka, Dakota, Olmsted, Washington AND Steele County Fairs. All smushed into the time BEFORE the Minnesota State Fair! Add in the Midwest Kids Fest in Kansas City and it was just plain slap beyond busy.
Stay tuned for a new look to the site - I had a logo designed and it will be updated some time this weekend as well as I need to add some more photos of the new Pets.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by each of the Fairs to give us a "Pet Update". Amy & I love to hear how your Pet is doing and who loves it!

| | Topsy Turvey!!! | WOW - March Madness does not even begin to describe how crazy life was these past 6 weeks!! The Pets and I had such a great time meeting so many new and wonderful people, thanks to all who came out and gave us such a warm welcome.
Since my last post, we made appearances at the 20th Annual Blaine Spring Show, the 20th Annual Rosemount Community Center, Midwest Kids Fest, and Mankato River Hills Mall. We also ended up throwing in a last minute engagement at the Eagan Community Center the day before Easter!
This upcoming weekend I am headed off to my first Mother Of Multiples State Workshop, and yes - the Pets are coming too!
